Sustainable Development Goals

This page reviews sustainable development goals and the Ministry's initiatives, digital transformation, and environmental protection.

Sustainable development is a term through which the United Nations has charted a roadmap for environmental, social, and economic development at the global level with the aim of improving living conditions for every individual in society and developing and managing means and methods of production in ways that do not lead to the depletion of the Earth's natural resources, so that we do not overburden it and do not deprive future generations of these resources (that is, meeting the needs of the current generation without squandering the rights of future generations).

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing works to implement sustainable development in its comprehensive concept as part of the system of government entities in the Kingdom, and relies on preparing sustainable development strategies to contribute to the continuity of development in its comprehensive concept.
